One capsule contains 225 mg Beta-glucans, 20 mg vitamin C, 7.5 mg Quercetin, 5 mg Lactobacillus paracasei, 2.5 mg zinc.
Beta-glucans are highly valuable long-chain dietary fibres (natural polysaccharides). They are extracted from the cell walls of the smallest fungus – the yeast. Only (1->3), (1->6)-Beta-D-Glucans meet the necessary requirements for Immun select. The secondary plant substance quercetin is a yellow natural pigment from the group of polyphenols. A large proportion of quercetin is found for example in onions, apples or broccoli. However, quercetin can be mostly destroyed by storage and preparation (e.g. heating). Since the beneficial pigment is mainly contained in the peel, it is wasted when the particular fruits and vegetables are peeled. A daily dose of Immun select contains as much quercetin as a kilogram of broccoli or 500 grams of apples. The acerola cherry grows in the tropical regions of Central and South America and is considered to be one of the most vitamin C - rich fruits on earth. Vitamin C is not only the best known of all vitamins, it is also a multi-talent, as it fulfills a variety of tasks in our body. Since it is in its natural form, it is more bioavailable than synthetic ascorbic acid. Therefore, only the vitamin C of the acerola cherry is used for Immun select. The lactic acid bacterial strain Lactobacillus paracasei MCC1849 used in Immun select was selected among thousand others, because it showed the highest potential in numerous benefical (human) studies. Only natural, in zinc yeast biologically bonded zinc is used inImmun select. The trace element zinc has many functions in our body, including the support of our immune system. It is often found in animal foods such as oysters, offal, fish, cheese and so on. In a vegetarian or unbalanced diet it may be useful to supplement (additional) zinc.
Vegetarian, gluten-free, free from lactose, maltodextrin and colourants. The cellulose capsules are entericcoated so the immunoglobulins can get to the intestine without being damaged.
